Moving Molds

Looking at the slotted bricks we found in Denmark, Sweden and Norway, I think the molds probably moved like this.

  • The mold without logo started in Denmark in 1949 and moved to Sweden when Geas KONSTHARTS started production in 1950. In Sweden it was used to produce Bakelite and Cellulose Acetate bricks. In 1953 it was replaced by a new mold and it moved to Norway to start production in October 1953. Possibly it moved to Iceland later.
  • The Danish blockletter molds probably moved to Norway in 1954 when the Dogbone logo was introduced in Denmark.
